We really enjoyed the food here! The enchiladas were delicious! The salsa was perfect! We highly recommend visiting on a stopover.
Coming from out of town and not sure of what kind of restaurant we were going to eat at. Read the reviews and showed up and were more than surprised! The service was very good the food was very good the prices I would consider very reasonable. We had the David's Burger. Probably one of the best burgers I've ever had. And the homemade onion rings were fantastic
Hubby and I went on anniversary trip to New Mexico. On the way we looked for a place to eat at next exit, Sweetwater. Found Lupita’s online and previous location photos convinced us to stop in and try the burger. We arrive and the place was cute inside (watch your step down at the door), was immediate sat. The chips are fresh, light and airy…the salsa reminds me of how the original Pappasitos warm salsa was soooo good and couldn’t just eat one chip. I asked for coffee and our waitress said she would make a fresh brew. While we ordered, there was many plates we found to be mouthwatering and could not order all….my husband got the enchiladas and added two eggs on top. I ordered the chile rellano and added two scrambled on top. You will notice the food will not have much salt.. loaded with seasoning…. I thought to myself “this is good because you salt as you want. That was a plus with family having heart/blood pressure issues and diabetes. After stuffing my face and not being a lady about…I told my husband I wanted the pancakes but a really good thing that I did not order as there would be no room. Just made a decision for a second trip to try them. Upon check out, they have a nice selection of Mexican candies to purchase.Upon speaking with our waitress at check out we told her that I found them on Google and 1st time at the restaurant, but will be back to try the Hamburger. Our waitress told us that the burger was homemade there..not frozen, with 90/10 meat and every patty is made fresh. She said she was diabetic and decided to make foods that were diabetic and heart friendly since most 80% restaurants have high sodium and fat in the foods. I asked her name for the review and she said, “Lupita”.I’m like…”wait, the Owner?!?!” She said, “Yes”.I was stunned but smiled and told her she was onto something amazing and I hope she continues with her success and we would be back to visit again! Go see Lupita!! You won’t regret it!
Love the service and food, they were really nice the whole time. The food came out pretty fast too. They always can at the right time to ask if we needed anything. All together great place definitely going to come here again.
This restaurant is run by a 7 yrs in the business manager. She is trying to build up her business and I can tell you it's very warm in atmosphere. And the food is delicious We had the bean and cheese nachos and my friend has menudo. Excellent. Give it a try you won't be disappointed.
First time in Sweetwater, and a friend recommended to try this location. Located across the street from railroad tracks, this quaint hole in the wall had excellent service, great food, at a great price. I tried the menudo (32oz) and had toasted bread with it. They offer corn and flour tortillas as well. No pan bolillo as they do not serve tortas. The menudo was tender, spicy, and fresh. First time eating it with toast, and it did not disappoint. My sister had their chicken flautas, which she said tasted delicious as well. For dessert, we tried their cheesecake sopapilla with whipped cream and strawberries. Let me tell you, this is a dessert to savor every bite. It is quite a large serving, so two can certainly eat one serving. Will certainly visit here again on a trip out to West Texas next time traveling through Sweetwater.
Great service and real family restaurant feel. Ordered the Chavez Jr which is is really honestly like a full size burger. Worth it for sure and will come back if passing through.
First of all server was amazing from the moment we walked in till we left! Food was great. Fast and everything came out hot n fresh! Definitely recommend this place
